A Bit About The St. Louis

The St. Louis was a German ship. In 1939, it began it's voyage to Cuba with close to 1,000 Jewish Refugees. When the ship reached Cuba it's passengers were not allowed to come ashore. Rejected by America the St. Louis circled the Atlantic Ocean looking for a home for it's passengers. Despite threatening messages for Germany the Captain, who had a family in Germany, still searched from a country that would let them in.
